I am not comletely against abortion, and I admit, as a male, I am confused about what is right and wrong. However, I do have a beef to pick with some pro-choice activists, and I highlight the word some. Activists sometimes seem so proud of their stance that it almost appears as if they think the actual act of abortion is a good-righteous thing. They blast anti-abortionists/pro-life activists for not being open, but often are unwilling to question their own viewpoint. Perhaps they are merely just portrayed as egotistical and only considerate of thier own bodies. I am not making an arugment against abortion, but I do think it is more than just a matter of women’s rights.

The Church of England is dropping every ounce of respectability as an organization of faith to apologize to Charles Darwin. Perhaps Darwin’s theory does hold true under the current science, but there is no purpose to a faith so adaptable. Of course this is the same church that was split from Catholicism by Henry VIII so he could have a divorce. Maybe now that they are officially accepting Darwin’s perspective on life and evolution they should call themselves the Church of Darwinist England. From the view of Christianity which would be worse, parting from faith because of selfishness or disbelief? Although this question is skewed because Henry VIII also probably didn’t believe since he used the religion in a power struggle.

Every so often, a Christian group comes to the center of the VCU campus to preach the word of God. Supposedly they are there to help people find the light, but instead they cause ruckus and push people away from the idea and ideals of God. What these people say may be the truth, but it is not said in a truthful way. All they do is hold up a Bible and shout idiotically. If their reason for being on the campus is to attract people to God, then they are failing, because they only turn people away. Then certain other people show up, athiests, agnostics, and people of other religions, and turn a failure into a horrible spectacle by arguing, name calling, and using foolish tactics. They allow themselves to be pulled into an argument with fools, and only fools argue with fools.
